No, actually, I did stop myself from stressing when I realized I was, but you're right, it's like a knee-jerk response.
Thanks, you're the first person to mention that. I was worrying about what I should sell, what I think is my best, what I'm willing to part with etc. etc. etc. ...
Then I decided to put up only what I love best, both the newer and the older ones. I can decide later what I will let go and for how much. I don't really have to put up prices, actually, because it's in the Barnes and Noble cafe. They said they're not supposed to have the prices listed on them, but I could. The person whose work is on display now has prices, but who cares? I just want for people to see it. I kinda don't need the money, so what I care about is that people see it, enjoy it, I get rid of some of the over 100 that I have in my house, and to get my name out there.
Speaking of which, I bought myself a "domain" and have a website at [link] tell me if you like it.
Sounds like you pretty much have everything worked out. Once again I wish you the best at the show. Looking forward to reading all about your experience. I will definitely stop by your website as soon as I can. Hope all is going well and good. Melinda
Thanks, Laura, I really appreciate it. I feel, I don’t know, I’ll feel better after I pick which ones to show. Maybe you can help me in that area. And how do you let go of some that have become your “special ones?"
Don't let go of your special ones until it's time. I horde, I must admit, but then it comes the time. Just sold a years-old piece that I couldn't bear to part with...but then all of a sudden it was okay...you'll know when it's right.
